I am Omi Salisbury. I'm from Seattle Washington and currently live in Chicago with a bachelor's degree from the University of Loyola Chicago in Multi-Media Journalism and a minor in Women and Gender Studies.

I have a very close connection with journalism with my family owning one of the biggest black-owned media companies in Seattle, called Converge Media. Due to this, I have a strong passion for helping people tell their stories and using the power of journalism to build community in a space where it may be lacking.

While journalism is a very big part of who I am, another part of me also has a strong love for film and I plan to attend graduate school for film in the coming years to truly improve my skills so I can combine my two passions to be the best storyteller possible.
